The Chair is one of the officers of Ace Monster Toys, Inc. (dba Ace Makerspace), serving in accordance with the nonprofit organization’s bylaws. The Chair is elected by the Board of Directors and must be a director, serving as a member of the AMT Officer team.

The Chair is responsible for duties as outlined in the bylaws and summarized as follows:

• Presiding over meetings of the Board of Directors
• Working with the Board and officers to prepare meeting agendas and keep Board business moving
• Helping ensure that Board decisions and follow-up items are carried out
• Coordinating between the Board, officers, and the broader organization as needed
• If there is no President/CEO, serving as the organization’s CEO and taking on the associated responsibilities
• Performing other duties assigned to the Chair by the Board or described in the bylaws

This is an unpaid volunteer role. The Chair is one director among equals and does not have authority beyond that granted by the Board or the bylaws.
