Full Description

The Vice President is responsible for many operations at AMT. They focus on recruiting and retaining volunteer program leadership. The Vice President will promote community and safety within the AMT facilities, and ensure that those facilities are operating to legal code requirements. They are also responsible for maintaining (or causing to be maintained) the necessary infrastructure of the organization, this can include the organization’s online footprint (website and wiki), facility access systems, and ensuring tool maintenance.

Along with the other officers, they help set the vision and goals of the organization and execute policies towards these goals. They promote volunteerism as a vital part of AMT’s culture.

This position is expected to contribute 16 hours or more per month to fulfill the responsibilities and duties and receives a stipend of approx. $240.00 per month (before taxes).

Requirements

  • Management experience
  • Project management experience
  • Attention to detail and excellent logistical management skills
  • Proficiency with digital platforms such as excel for record-keeping
  • Inclusivity training a plus

Operational functions

Process MC Applications

Completes org and program purchasing

  • Steward purchase requests
  • Organization needs (by observation)
  • Project-based purchasing
  • Manage reoccurring services as needed

Steward/Team-Based

  • Set up onboard tasks for new people/teams in asana using templates
  • Schedule kick-off meetings
  • Complete training tasks related to asana use, purchasing, etc.
  • Identifies candidates and works with the other officers to interview
  • Review safety program results regularly

Member Services

  • Process new member accounts and on-boarding (team activity)
  • Helps manage and maintain access systems/FOBs
  • Manages incident reports/peer-review process
  • Process Starving Hacker and Scholarship Applications
  • Write newsletter articles
