This is the general methodology. Some folks will have customizations.
This is done on the 4th day before month-end. Hopefully, after folks have submitted their availability.
- Screen through the current set of tasks for any auto-generated tasks that need to be tagged for the new month. Update the tags, removing names and the non-relevant months
- Screen through all of the undone tasks and follow-up with the monster corps members
- Screen through the projects and tag all the priority tasks for the next month. This may include tasks that were not resourced the previous month.
- Next, review the availability sheet and update the accounts for all the Monster Corps members that filled it out. This is done in WordPress
- Then, assign the months tasks to the Monster Corps members, matching:
- affinity and skills
- Availability
- Org needs
This task takes about 8 hours to complete. It is best done in 1-2 sessions but not more. Another 4-hour session of tasks assignments is usually done the first or second week of the new month.
