Annual Budget Planning Process

This is the short list of resources referenced in this players’ guide. It is highly recommended that you read the players guide for context on how the resources are used.

 

Timeline

April

April 1st: Survey members and stewards

Program, Tool or Area Specific Categories: this information pertains to individual areas, tools or programs and is provided by program heads and tool stewards:

  • Education support
  • Materials
  • Assets ($500+)

Membership survey should include:

  • In the last six months, how often do you use the space? (range of checks)
  • What do you use most often (top 3)?
  • How important is this space to you as an individual?
  • How important is this space to Ace as a whole?

April 15th: Close survey

Close survey and make results available to the membership.

May

May 1st: Craft budget

Using information gathered, Treasurer submits the first draft of the budget to Executive Director for review and revisions.

May 15th: Submit a budget

After revisions, officers submit the final draft of the budget to Board for review and approval.

June

by June 30th: Board approves the budget
