  • Lasersoft accepts many file tips but likes simple SVG and DXF files best

Process

  1. Set the parameters for your workspace. i.e. To set relative origin point – Click “Parameters”, then “Workspace”
  2. Set Platform -> Relative Position setting for how you want the laser to cut relative to your material.
  3. Import shapes/graphics
    • Optional: Unite lines (check box on import or highlight your object and press Close Shape in the software menu), then run a data check correcting errors if needed by pressing Data Detection in the software menu.
  4. Assign your files to layers by color (or import them that way) and apply your power and speed settings
    • You can run simulations to see how it will cut
  5. Download the program to the laser: Click ‘Download’, then ‘Download’ again.
    • Make sure the work count is set to 1 and there is no delay.
  6. Position laser head over your material where you want to start cutting.
  7. Press “origin” button on the laser.
  8. Confirm material/cut position- Click the ‘Run Box’ command — this will move the laser in a rectangle around the area it will operate, without turning on the laser.
  9. Start the cut– Press Play on the laser!
  10. DO NOT LEAVE THE LASER WHILE IT’S CUTTING.
