How to report on a malfunctioning access points or doors

Access points are things you fob into that give you access like the laser, check-in stations or doors.

Before asking for help with these things please troubleshoot your account including certifications.

When asking for help on those things please report the following:

  • When the problem occured
  • Describe the behavior or all equipment
  • Capture screenshots of all error messages.

Please make all reports in the relevant public channels. Often other members are able to help out and respond long before our very tiny leadership and staff team can.

While it is really frustrating when access points fail it is not an emergency. Please know that while everyone is doing their best we have a very tiny team of volunteer leaders and staff. At this time we cannot offer Help Desk style service and our response times are up to 48 hours.

Please do not PM officers or staff if you do not get a response right away. It will not expedite the help and will push back any important work folks currently working on.
