The Janome HD-3000 is a solid sewing machine, perfect for a beginner or sewist looking to do a wide range of sewing. These machines can be used for a wide variety of projects, but they are NOT heavy-duty or leather sewing machines. If you are struggling to fit your layers of fabric under the presser foot, then it is probably not appropriate for the Janome. Luckily, we have two other heavy-duty machines that can use for your heavy-duty project instead!

The lever to release the foot on the Janome HD 3000 can be a little delicate. You need to push it in rather than pushing down.
