Details

The pi is running code from https://github.com/acemonstertoys/fatt_device to read the RFID, check it against the whitelist and open the door.

The wiring from the door to suite 214 to the FATT box located upstairs in cleanfab goes through an ethernet cable:

• BLUE twisted pair is used for the door 12V solenoid control
• ORANGE twisted pair is power to the RFID reader
  • solid is 12V VCC and maps to the RED wire on the rfid reader pigtail cable cable
  • stripe is GND and maps to the BLACK RFID pigtail
• GREEN twisted pair is the data to/from the RFID reader
  • solid is D0 and maps to the GREEN RFID pigtail
  • stripe is D1 and maps to the WHITE RFID pigtail
• BROWN twisted pair is not used
