The laser costs 50ȼ per minute of firing time.

This is just time that the laser is firing, not time spent setting up or moving things around. You can see the laser counting up firing time on the screen above the keypad. 

The laser fees are used to keep the machine running and replace parts of the laser when needed, as well as paying for laser maintenance and supporting laser education at ACE. 

How billing works

Usage is linked directly to your user account on acemakerspace.org

Bills are sent on or around 1st of each month for the previous month. Bills are due by the 15th day after billing. Anything not paid by the 15th is considered past-due. If you need to make arrangements for an extension to your bill please contact [email protected]. 

Arrangements can always be made, but not paying and not contacting us about it is kinda a jerk move so please don’t.
