Tenon jig

Overview

This jig is designed to cut tenons on the table saw. See here for an in-depth overview of the tenon jig.

Setup & use

The tenon jig can be found in the front room of the workshop against the back wall (behind the jointer). It should be returned there after use.

  1. Unplug the table saw and remove the blade guard
  2. Set the jig rail along the table saw fence
  3. Clamp your piece to the jig. Adjust the blade height to the shoulder line of your tenon.
  4. Adjust the fence to the desired width of your tenon
  5. Slide the jig along the fence to run your piece over the saw blade

Safety

  1. This jig is used with the table saw. Standard table saw safety rules apply.
