AMT provides instructor support as part of its infrastructure. If you choose to teach a class, lead a workshop or provide regular lab hours AMT will handle promotion for you. All instructors can do their own promotion of course if they choose 😉

Class Promotion

Your event will be promoted on Facebook/Meet-Up, the Announce list and published on calendars.

If your class/workshop is of a more involved nature or a continuing series, then more promotional support can be provided. Also for ongoing events storage for supplies can be provided.

For basic promotion send the following to Crafty Rachel (this contact may change in the future):

• A description of the class/workshop. This should be at least one or two lines but a paragraph is great. Also include details like equipment or materials students should bring
• A list of materials that are included and any associated costs (instructors are currently reimbursed directly for materials they purchase)
• Time and duration details
• A relevant picture if you have one (if you don’t, one will be sourced for you)

Instructor Promotion

For those that are interested, we would also like to do instructor profiles. For an instructor profile this is the information we are looking for:

• What got you interested in the subject(s) you teach or are involved with – What you like about teaching – A general description of you. This can be anything you choose and if you need help just ask.
• A good photo of you. If you don’t have one we will work with you to get one.
• Action shot of you doing your thing
• A description of any special qualification you may have. (example: An Engineering degree from XYX  OR  Five years exprience incluing buiding a XYZ and XYZ)
