ACE MONSTER TOYS BEGINS PROVIDING FREE COMPUTER REPAIR SERVICES IN OAKLAND

Ace Monster Toys, Oakland’s local hackerspace, has begun providing no cost computer
repair services on a first-come, first-serve basis every Wednesday from 12 PM to 6 PM.
Anyone is welcome, and any kind of computer with valid software licenses can be serviced.

Ace Monster Toys is run by members with a wide variety of experience working on computers
of all kinds. By repairing computers in the local community, members provide valuable
hands-on training opportunities for each other while providing a useful community
service.

Hackerspaces are community-operated physical places where people can meet and work on
their projects. Ace Monster Toys, Oakland’s hackerspace, is dedicated towards education,
hacking, and maker culture. We look to provide opportunities for people to learn new
skills and to educate themselves in a hands-on, immersive manner. We also provide a shop
and workspace for our members to collaboratively work on projects.
