Idea:

Webcam takes image of user, with LCD showing stream so you can position correctly. Raspberry Pi runs filters on image to turn it into gcode, sends it to control board, which makes the gantry draw the image of the person. Solenoids trigger pens up or down. Can have multiple pens for drawing in different colors / line thicknesses.

The goal being you stand in front of camera, hit button, and 30 seconds later you have a hand drawn portriat of yourself
