This checklist of steps for using the Epson SureColor P9000 at Ace is not a substitute for certification training, only a reminder for Ace members who are already certified.

Start Up Checklist
- Confirm that asset status for Epson SureColor P9000 AMT437 is Up.
- Turn on Printer.
- Review ink levels and report if any ink levels are below 1/4 on Slack #large-format-printer using the /asset amt437 … command.
- Perform Nozzle Check on Letter copy paper.
- Select sheet mode and Top Load sheet of paper (no larger than 8.5in x 11in) in printer.
- Open Epson Printer Utility, select Nozzle Check, and click on Print.
- Review printout for any missing lines in the color pattern.
If necessary, perform Auto version of Nozzle Check (which runs a cleaning cycle) by opening Epson Printer Utility, selecting Nozzle Check, and clicking on Auto.- Sign or initial and place printout(s) in brown binder labeled “Test Print Binder for Epson”.
- Post initial status of your printing session on Slack #large-format-printer using the /asset command.
- Include the following items of information:

- Action: Nozzle Check OK
- Project: Pattern printing / Photo printing / etc
- Material: Type
- Stock: Personal or Ace

- Include the following items of information:
Shutdown Checklist
- Pay for your printing session.
- Calculate square footage of paper, including test prints and misprints.
- Complete Payment online at https://www.acemakerspace.org/product/epson-9880-print/. (To be updated to P9000)
- Clear the printer of your printing job.
- Unload paper from personal projects.
- Reload Ace roll of bond paper.
- Close the cover for the paper roll.
- Review ink levels and report if any ink levels are below 1/4 on Slack #large-format-printer using the /asset command.
- Make sure that Epson SureColor P9000 print queue is clear.
- Turn off Printer.
- Put Mac Mini to sleep
- Choose Apple menu > Sleep.
- Leave the Mac Mini computer turned on.
- Leave Ace better than you found it.
- Clear the printer desk and printer area used during your printing project.
- Clear any other areas at Ace you used after your printing session, such as returning art tables and tools used for cutting your prints.
- Report any issues or feedback on Slack #large-format-printer.
- Release Dibs for large format printer on Slack if reserved and finished early and unpin from channel.
