Christian has laid down final judgement on ribs in the east bay:
* ”’Everett and Jones”’ is the best ”if” you go on a good day. That’s a big if. And they’re also expensive.
* ”’Phat Matt’s”’ is a worthy contender, with a good smoky rib and a balanced sauce. These are your go-to ribs.
* ”’T-Rex BBQ”’ in berkeley is an abomination.
* ”’KC’s bbq”’ has meat that’s almost as good as Phat Matt’s, but their sauce is too sweet. However, if you get the sauce on the side, they’re the cheapest at $20 a slab.
* Finally, ”’Brick Pig’s”’ is a good all-around. The ribs are well-cooked, but not very smokey at all. The people are nice though, and that makes the experience better.
