Board Support and Monster Corps

Monster Corps is an amazing resource. The Board can access this resource via the ED and/or the Coordinator for the program. The ED and other officers may also access the talents of the Monster Corps members to fulfill requests made by the board.

Examples of appropriate requests*

  • Research requests. Google searches to find examples of contracts/agreements, government links, assessments, and other non-profit or business documentation
  • Internal research requests. Ace’s history is long and complex. Research within our own reports and archives is possible. This data may be used to create reports or just support the key learning of directors.

*More examples will be added as we learn them.

Keep in mind that while it is tempting to engage Monster Corps members in the continued conversation after they do their great work, this may end up being counterproductive. Touch base with the ED/Coordinator before engaging Monster Corps members beyond the assignment.

How to make a request

  • Be descriptive. Especially with research requests specify what you are looking to accomplish for example 5 example, 10 examples, the attributes of the examples (must include DEI, or From same sized org, etc.
  • State your deadline. It is best to give at least two weeks for the cat-heading process to run its course if at all possible.
  • Send it in. Slack or email the request to the ED/Coordinator and it will be processed as an Asana Task and assigned. Of course, if you are comfortable in Asana, feel free to create a task and let the officer know.
